Learn to Spread Your Love with Positive Energy By Saha Nathan

When you feel positive, your surroundings become positive. If you look into the eyes of a person who keeps a positive outlook, you see an abundant energy that makes others around that person feel happy.

Mahatma Gandhi had enormous positive energy. It is said that no one could say no to Gandhi; people who looked him in the eyes tended to say yes. He used his positive energy to attain freedom for everyday people and for the whole of India.

Who you love is not as important as simply being a loving human being. Love should not have an address; it should be a positive energy that is part of your being. Whoever comes in contact with you will feel the immensely nourishing positive energy of your love.

We have created an idea of love as a form of possession, but all types of possession ultimately end in suffering. If you try to control someone, you are not going to be loving to that person, and they are not going to be loving to you. When husbands do not love their wives or wives do not love their husbands, the result is misery. They may occasionally smile, but their smiles do not come from their hearts. Their love is a prison of fear.

We should live a life that is not possessive—one that is available, respectful, and open to all.

Learn to love and respect yourself first. This attitude will give you tremendous nourishment, and love will start spreading around you. Loving is in its own way a meditation that brings about positive changes as it systematically develops the quality and attitude of “loving acceptance.” Loving kindness has the immediate benefit of sweetening and changing old habits and negative patterns of mind. It acts as a form of self-psychotherapy, a way of healing the troubled mind to free it from its pain and confusion.
