Chirag Katti of the 'Imdadkhani Gharana' is one of the most exceptional and brilliant musicians whose young spirit and personality is skilfully articulated through his music and is recognised for playing the sitar with the Gayaki Ang. Hailing from a family of musicians, he has been tutored in sitar by his father Pt. Shashank Katti for over 15 years. At 22, Chirag has not only won numerous prizes but has also presented on several television channels, radio and concerts in India and abroad. His hand speed (tayari) and sense of taal (rhythm) is breathtaking whereas his alaaps are absolutely magnificent.
