Netgear showcases Wi-Fi devices for home, SMBs at CES 2019

Las Vegas, Jan 9 (IANS) US-based networking leader Netgear showcased a Next-Gen range of Wi-Fi devices for home and small and medium businesses (SMBs) at the CES 2019 here.

The company also demonstrated "Nighthawk 5G" mobile hotspot at the event which is touted as the world's first standards-based millimeter wave mobile 5G device, available on the AT&T mobile 5G network, the company said in a statement.

"With the introduction of 'Nighthawk 5G' mobile hotspot, Netgear is set to revolutionise the telecom and communications sector. The company aims to benchmark the Indian telecom sector and provide the necessary communications tools for the upcoming 5G era," said Marthesh Nagendra, Country Manager-India & SAARC, Netgear.

Among the home and SMB solutions include "Orbi Pro Mesh Wi-Fi Ceiling Satellite," and "Orbi Whole Home Wi-Fi System," for ultra-fast mesh Wi-Fi coverage.

The Netgear "Armor", powered by Bitdefender, is a multi-layer cyber security service that will be available via software update to existing Orbi customers in coming months, said the company.
