8/2/1953Baldev Ramji Mirdha ""Kisan Kesari"", great social worker, leader and politician, died in harness while going to address a Kisan Conference. He also played a vital role in formation of Rajasthan.
8/2/1953Malik Kafur, Alauddin Khilji's Commander, won the impregnable fort of Devgiri. The fort was entered by the enemy. Raja Ramdeva was taken prisoner and sent to Delhi where Alauddin recieved him untill his death in 1312.
7/8/1958Lord Canning declared that since peace was established, it is better known as end of Indian Mutiny, 1857.
